What We Stand For and Live By

What would be your answer if someone were to ask you, "What do you stand for?" 

A few years ago, our family finally took on the challenge of trying to put into words all that we stand for. Why? We were standing at a big fork in the road that beckoned us to embark on a new journey, but we were kept in the season of transition because we had not yet fortified our foundations on which future decisions depended. 

Eventually we came up with our own Family Manifesto which, to be honest, is a bit wordy, but we found it hard to encapsulate everything! It does a better job of answering the question, "What do you stand for?" So here it is as our answer. 

Within these four walls there is love. 
A love that carries us through the ebbs and flows of life. 
We traverse each mountain and valley together,
carrying a peace that transcends understanding. 
Harvesting stories and cultivating humility along the way. 
We believe kindness is a dish best served in private
not for the accolades of the masses.
We create, play and grow together, not apart. 
People over things. 
Contentment over restlessness. 
Our love makes room. 
We live not by the world's measures but by God's truth,
the one constant who gave us this love. 

For us, our faith brings peace and hope. While our Givers of Love art is inspired by our Christian perspective, we understand that not everyone sees the world in the same way. Regardless of where you come from or where you are in life, we pray that what we create can bring a bit of truth and love into your home.
